Remodeling Job Stories | Pelham, AL Bathroom Remodeling
I. Project Overview
Ms. Stephanie Branham’s Pelham AL Bathroom remodeling project began in September of 2023, and involved tile replacement, brand new cabinetry and a vanity, and a brand new walk-in shower with a sliding glass door!
Mrs. Branham is a customer we’ve had the pleasure of working with for years now, and in recognition of that we decided to update this page to include even more of our recent work with Mrs. Branham, including an upstairs Bathroom Remodel, some Exterior Renovations for her siding and deck, and more!

II. Project Timeline
Mrs. Branham’s initial project ran from September of 2023 to January of 2024, which is the typical timeframe for one of our projects. Constant communication and oversight through our project software, Buildertrend, allows all of our clients to be completely aware of all aspects of design and construction from start to finish!
Take a closer look at the pictures of Mrs. Branham’s project, with this before and after gallery!
III. The 2023 Project
The project began like most projects begin, by demolishing the old bathroom to make room for the new materials Mrs. Branham chose! It’s also extremely important to lay down protective mats, so that debris doesn’t damage the rest of the house!
Reliable starts every project by installing floor protection for the homes we’ll be working in. Our favorite floor protection is Trimaco X-Board, which has leak resistant protection to prevent any kind of damage from hurting our client’s homes!

The Bathroom demolition was completed on schedule, and so we could begin adjusting the space; Mrs. Branham wanted a glass enclosure for the new shower!
Enclosed showers typically take a ton of prep work, especially when they’re not the only part of a new bathroom remodel!

Reliable also gave Ms. Branham’s Hall Bathroom on the first floor a near identical makeover, except she would be keeping the bathtub in this one!
The plumbing rough had been completed at this point for the hall bath, the tile tub surround is being layered, all with a beautiful acrylic deep tub from Kohler and Delta fixtures.

Back in the Master Bathroom, we completed our punch list and began tackling the drywall, before hanging up the brand new vanity and lighting, and installing a brand new countertop for Ms. Branham’s cabinet!
We installed a Pivotal® Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet In Matte Black for the new sink!
One of the most important parts in waterproofing the subfloor at the entrance of a Curbless shower are the corners. Here we see our tile installer preparing this corner with thinset before his installation of the waterproof pre fabricated corner fabric (the pink stuff). Attention to detail is extremely important in projects like this one!
We also began installing the brand new tile for both the Master and Hall Bathrooms.

Painting had been completed in this main level bathroom, and we were ready for plumbing trim installation, and Shell Plumbing always takes care of our plumbing needs! We also began work on painting the walls and ceiling for both the Master and Hall Bathrooms!

The Master Bathroom shower turned out absolutely spectacularly! We used a Crescent sliding glass door, the same kind we used for Mrs. Nina Gunnin’s shower remodel! We also installed Universal Showering’s H2Okinetic® 5-Setting Angular Modern Raincan Shower Head In Matte Black, and a 7-Setting Slide Bar Hand Shower With Cleaning Spray In Matte Black from Delta fixtures.

V. Our Other Projects for Mrs. Branham
Very shortly after we completed the first floor bath remodel, we started on a number of other remodels for the Branham home! We started, as always, with the demolition!
Mrs. Branham decided to have the siding, roof, and windows on her house completely renovated as well, and in early April of 2024, we began our work!

Reliable started with the siding demolition, while prepping for the insertion of brand new windows. The roofing was completed at this stage as well, since we tend to do most of our exterior work in a project around the same time!

The windows were next in line, as Mrs. Branham chose Wincore double-hung windows for her home, all in different sizes!

The siding was finished promptly, and all the colors were matched to Mrs. Branham’s original exterior color!
It was then time to take a look at the front and back doors, as Mrs. Branham wanted new metal screen doors attached!
All of the doors were stained as well during this time period, as Mrs. Branham requested!
The black metal of the storm doors complements the colors of all the other selections Mrs. Branham made, creating a very synergized color scheme that has brought the Branham house back to life!

Mrs. Branham’s back deck was also in dire need of repair, as some wood rot had set in and needed to be excised!
Once repairs were completed, the deck was stained, like the doors. Decks staining doesn’t really prevent issues like wood rot from coming back, but it can protect against sunlight and is technically waterproof, but usually only for a limited time.

Reliable also updated the garage door jambs, giving them a nice updated paint job to match the window and door frames!
When we’re demolishing an entire space to make room for the remodel, we don’t tend to lay down protective mats in the room, but outside of it. This is because we have to drag out debris and often sharp shards of wood and stone that could damage the interior of our clients’ homes, and because laying down protective mats inside the room would prevent us from demolishing the floor, if that’s a part of the project in question.

V. Conclusion of the Branham Project
Mrs. Branham’s Pelham, AL bathroom remodeling project went off without a single hitch! And to that end, Mrs. Branham posted a wonderful five-star review about us on GuildQuality!

“I have used Reliable for the majority of my house repairs/enhancement projects and they have always done an excellent job…I was most satisfied with the quality of the finished project…I heard about Reliable Remodeling for the first time from a mailer.
