I. Project Overview
Mr. Gary Cambron’s Pelham, AL bathroom remodel project is probably one of the best examples we have of how new tile showers can completely rework the entire feeling of a bathroom!
For this master bathroom remodel project, Reliable did demolition work, drywall repair, and shower tile installation!
II. Project Timeline
The Cambron project ran for four months, from April to July of 2023. Constant communication and oversight through our project software, Buildertrend, allows all of our clients to be completely aware of all aspects of design and construction from start to finish!

III. Design-Build-Remodel
The Cambron family bathroom was rather cramped and outdated when Reliable took a look and saw what we would be changing.
This was definitely something that needed an overhaul!
After finalization of the last bits of paperwork, Reliable was officially on board to tackle the Cambron’s Master Bathroom Remodel!
First day of a project always starts with floor protection and dust containment when working inside! This is massively important for interior work that could potentially damage or at least dirty up the interiors of the homes we work in.
Reliable starts every project by installing floor protection for the homes we’ll be working in. Our favorite floor protection is Trimaco X-Board, which has leak resistant protection to prevent any kind of damage from hurting our client’s homes!
Reliable began the initial demolition of the Master Bathroom and, after the debris was cleared away, we began checking the shower panliner with a flood test!
This is always a super important step of any bathroom remodel that involves changing up the shower, because the shower pan and panliner are what prevent water from trickling down into the rest of your home and creating horrid water damage!
After Reliable determined that the shower pan and the overall plumbing had a few issues for Mr. Cambron, we got to work on bringing it back up to spec, and began tearing down the walls to expose the innards of the Master Bathroom.
Maybe some people would think that removing the walls wouldn’t be necessary for a job like this, but not only did we need further access to the plumbing in the room, but we were essentially reframing the shower entrance, which would need to line up with the rest of the wall. So we removed it all and started from scratch!
Soon after we began the new drywall installation for this Pelham, AL bathroom remodel!
Drywall for the rest of the room is a relatively simple job compared to the tile backing installation, which would be coming next!
We began the floor tile and wall tile installation for the shower, with a alternating combination of two tiles, from the same Terra Ingis Lantern line of tile, which makes for a beautiful combination! This Master Bathroom was quickly shaping up to be worthy of the name!
Reliable also installed new floor tiles for the rest of the bathroom while we were at it, in a gray color that complimented the nearly stark white of the shower! The shower floor floor tiles were grouted with grouting with Mapei Ultra Color FA, which is a polymer modified grout that does not need sealing and is not porous. It’s a one step process to ensure a beautiful shower for years to come that is maintenance free!
After the installation of all the main components, Reliable Design-Build-Remodel started and completed the shower trim!
All that was left was installing the final pieces of the puzzle, which were a brand new sink and cabinet that matched the monochrome theme of this newly finished Pelham, AL bathroom remodel!
IV. Conclusion of the Cambron Project
The Cambron project was small, but great things come in small packages! Just because this project was literally for a small room doesn’t mean that our effort needs to be small too!
