I. Project Overview

Mr. Ryan King’s Hoover, AL Kitchen Remodel project, with non-structural studwall alterations, for his home in the Magnolia Run neighborhood of the Preserve was an exercise in timeliness!

Our precise scheduling and expert craftsmanship ensured that this project was ready right before Thanksgiving!

II. Project Timeline

Mr King’s project ran from early October to early November of 2023, which is the typical timeframe for one of our projects. Constant communication and oversight through our project software, Buildertrend, allows all of our clients to be completely aware of all aspects of design and construction from start to finish!

III. Design-Build-Remodel

We began project development and design of a Kitchen Remodel project, with non-structural studwall alterations, for the King family’s home in the Magnolia Run subdivision of the Preserve in Hoover, AL! We always start all of our project firstly with the temporary flooring protection and dust control walls, so that we don’t damage the interior of the home.

Reliable starts every project by installing floor protection for the homes we’ll be working in. Our favorite floor protection is Trimaco X-Board, which has leak resistant protection to prevent any kind of damage from hurting our client’s homes!

The project properly started when we commenced demolition for the kitchen.

You can see our electrical contractor, Perk’s Electric, hard at work roughing in the electrical requirements for the kitchen. Mr. Perkins has been our trusted trade partner for electrical contracting work for almost 17 years; if electrical work is part of the scope, then you can count on Reliable having Mr. Perkins do the work. The second part of the project involved working with our building officials! Developing working relationships with all of our neighboring cities and municipalities is a crucial part of a successful project!

We met with Kevin from the City of Hoover for a rebuilding rough inspection. This was the last of the series of inspections during the rough-in stage.

Drywall can be is always the best and the worst for our clients; The rough-in stage, which includes drywall removal/installation, creates an enormous amount of dust, with drywall sanding being the worst offender. But the best part is that the project moves quickly into the finishing stages after drywall is complete, and our clients start to finally see their selections being installed and the job site becomes cleaner as each phase is completed. Cabinets were scheduled for installation, and we were so thrilled to see the transformation in this home!

Taj Mahal Leathered Quartzite is the material selection that was installed for this Kitchen Remodel project. This beautiful countertop can be a great alternative to marble, but with much higher durability.

Appliances for this Kitchen Remodel in the Magnolia Run subdivision off the Preserve in Hoover came next! Monogram 48″ Built-In Side-by-Side Refrigerator, with a KitchenAid® 30″ Combination Microwave/Oven, with a warming drawer underneath!

Cabinetry panels would be installed the following Wednesday to finish this sleek, modern look! We were all set to finish right before Thanksgiving too, which was a primary concern for this project!

This is a massive island countertop, weighing in at around 650 lbs! This means that all the guys have to heave this piece into location. It was a happy day for our owner(s) in the Magnolia Run subdivision in Hoover, as this Kitchen Remodel was coming together just in time for the holidays!

In these pictures, you can see our initial 3D modeling of the kitchen space, compared to the real life picture underneath, where on that day we had a full house; Electricians, plumbers, cabinet installers, trim carpenters and painters all in one space! As we finished this Kitchen Remodel before Thanksgiving for this family, we took the time to be thankful for the relationships we have with all of our tradesmen. IV. Conclusion of the Ryan Project

Mr. Ryan’s project was an exercise in how perfection is a hundred little things done right. The project was executed by our licensed expert craftsmen to the best of their abilities, and the results speak for themselves.
