Remodeling Job Stories | Birmingham, AL Exterior Renovations
I. Project Overview
Ms. Ashley Rosser’s project was not as large as some of our other projects, but it’s nevertheless an interesting look into how our smaller exterior remodeling projects in Birmingham, AL typically go.
For this Exterior Renovations project, we installed gorgeous Low-E Glass Window sash packs!
II. Project Timeline
The Rosser project ran from late February to early March of 2023. Constant communication and oversight through our project software, Buildertrend, allows all of our clients to be completely aware of all aspects of design and construction from start to finish!

III. Design-Build-Remodel
Ms. Rosser initially had three different projects she wanted a quote for, and we agreed on a simple Exterior Renovations job, which included painting the exterior the home, installing new window sash packs!
We set down some floor protection on the interior carpet, as we do first thing on every job, and we got to work!
Reliable starts every project by installing floor protection for the homes we’ll be working in. Our favorite floor protection is Trimaco X-Board, which has leak resistant protection to prevent any kind of damage from hurting our client’s homes!
Ashley chose one of the very best window manufacturers, Jeld-Wen, and picked their Siteline wood window, with Aura Last technology, for a manufacturers 20 year warranty against wood rot and termite infestation.
The actual window panes that were being replaced are made of Low-E Glass. Low-E glass stands for “low-emissivity” glass, which means that it reflects infrared light and heat back outside, while still allowing visible light to pass through.
This makes Low-E glass more energy-efficient than regular glass, as it reduces the amount of heat that enters your home during the summer and escapes during the winter.

The interior painting was the final part of the project, and was completed on March 9th, with Sherwin-Williams Pro Classic semi-gloss in Divine White for a perfect color match!
IV. Conclusion of the Rosser Project
The Rosser project is a great example of how it doesn’t matter how big your project starts out as, because at the end the results make an enormous impact on your quality of life regardless!
We’re always so excited to work with clients that embrace the Design-Build process, because it tells us that what we’re doing not only makes every remodeling project a completely successful one, but that what we’re doing actually makes a difference in the industry, and more importantly that we’re making a difference in people’s lives.
